How do I Start Using Beyond Measure?

Beyond Measure is a social networking website comprised of online members. If you would like to join our community, the first step is to sign up for an account on the Sign Up page. You will need to provide a valid email address, first and last name, password for your account, and your area of expertise. After you submit your sign up information, an account activation notification will be sent to the email address you provided. You will need to open that email and click on the link to activate your account and begin using Beyond Measure.

What Happens After I Activate My Account?

Once you’ve activated your account, you can log-in into the Beyond Measure website and begin building your profile page so that you can interact with other online members. Your profile page is where you can update your personal and business information, change your password, and make any necessary changes to your account. Your profile information will be visible to other Beyond Measure members, and we recommend that you include a photo or image of yourself to help other members identify you.

What Tools Come with My Account?

After logging into your account, you will be directed to your account page. You will see that you have a profile page, an inbox for sending and receiving private messages on the site, a network list of your friends, a list of groups you have joined or started, your personal blog, and seminars that you have participated in with Beyond Measure.

How Do I Connect to Other Members?

Once you have an account, you can search all the members of Beyond Measure to find old friends and make new ones. If you go to the “People” page, you can view other members of the community, and conduct a search by member points, specialty, or name. If you would like to know more about a member you’ve found in a search, you can pull up their profile and review their information. If you would like to connect with them, just click the “Add as Friend” button and a request will be sent to them. If other members would like to connect with you, you will receive their friend requests in your account inbox.

How Do I Send and Receive Messages?

If you log-in to your Beyond Measure account, you can check your inbox. You should receive notifications from us at your outside email address for any new messages received here, including friend requests, private messages from your friends, and upcoming Beyond Measure events.

How do Comments Work?

You must be a friend to leave a comment on another member’s profile page. If you would like to leave a comment on a friend’s page, you simply need to press the “Add Comment” button and you can type your message in the pop up window and press “submit”. Your comment should post to the profile page immediately. If you would rather leave a less public message for your friend, you can use the “Send Message” function instead and it will go to their private Beyond Measure inbox.

What are Groups?

The Groups on Beyond Measure are put together by other members in the community to help connect professionals who have similar areas of expertise or interests. Member groups are also useful for your networking purposes, if you are looking for members of your community to help your business with their specialized knowledge. You can click on the “Groups” tab on the menu and search for the groups by which ones are the “most active”, how many “members” there are, and by “name”.

If you would like to start your own group, you can create and manage your new group in your account area. Creating a group is like creating your profile, which means you will want to provide information about what the group is about, upload an image for the group, and accept new members from the Beyond Measure community. You can leave comments for groups, and start or reply to group discussions.

How do the Blogs Work?

If you would like to keep up with the thoughts of your friends and other professionals on the Beyond Measure Network, you can access your blogs from any profile pages under the “Blog” tab.

If you would like to write, edit or delete your own blogs, you can go access these features from your your account page. You can create new blogs with the “New Blog Post” button, or use the edit or delete buttons for existing entries.
